Joona Mittens Junior is a mitten pattern knitted from the cuff to the top. The simple and rhythmic textured stitch gives the mittens a polished look, and the snug fit is achieved with a slight negative ease. The thumb is shaped with gusset increases, making the fit natural and comfortable.
The textured stitch is named after our second child.

Finished mitten circumference: approx. 12 (13) 14 (15) 16 cm
Finished mitten length: approx. 15 (16) 17 (19) 20 cm
Needles: 3.5 mm double-pointed needles or 80 cm circular needles if using the Magic Loop technique, or needle size needed to achieve the correct gauge
Gauge: 24 sts = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles
Yarn: approx. 50 (50) 50 (100) 100 g of DK-weight yarn (e.g., Drops Merino Extra Fine, Sandnes Merinoull)
